Another sure way to get in is to enlist in a reserve component of the Army (National Guard or Reserves) then apply. You will get an offer to USMAPS. They application is exactly the same and instead of Congressional and Sentor nominations you can also get your unit commander to nominate you.

Please respond. I am a student at a private school n Raleigh, North Carolina and I have a question about the medical exam. Does this include red green colorblindness because I am colorblind.
Too bad no answer. Back in the day it did in fact matter at USNA because to be a Line Officer or an Aviator you could not have this issue. (Think needing to discern navigation lights or buoy color.) In error, Navy's Roger Stauback Class of 1965 was admitted. I really want to go. I'm only fourteen but am being very serious about starting a military career. I'm getting my black belt in may and should get Eagle Scout at age 17. I also have B and A grades and plan on going to a good prep school. I also play a lot of sports. Do I still have a good chance of getting in.

@byufan2489 im LDS and i applied got in i then went on my mission and got back in the mission really helps plus if it was a ovetseas mission they will love you but just apply and make sure you add that you are LDS thats all i have for you good luck GO ARMY BEAT NAVY And beat the UTES

I am trying my hardest right now in school and in Cross Country right now! I have all A's and a B I also almost made Varsity Cross contry as a Freshman! I am so on Varsity Next year! O.C.T. Elementry-Colleyville Middle School-Colleyville Heritage High- And whats next? WEST POINT!!!
